Quick Tip: Print Multiple Pages Per Sheet

March 1, 2017 by Katie Venit Leave a Comment

Many students and faculty want to know how to save paper when printing materials for offline viewing. For PDFs viewed with Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat, this can be accomplished by changing the settings to print multiple pages per sheet. Depending on the user’s printer, it may also be accomplished through the print dialog, although every printer is different.

To print multiple pages per sheet through Adobe Reader/Acrobat:

  1. Choose File > Print.
  2. From the Page Scaling pop-up menu, select Multiple Pages Per Sheet.
  3. From the Pages Per Sheet pop-up menu, select a value.
  4. From the Page Order pop-up menu, select Horizontal, Horizontal Reversed, Vertical, or Vertical Reversed:
  5. Click OK or Print.

I received my B.A. in English with a minor in Journalism from Wake Forest University and an M.A. in Religious Studies from Indiana University Bloomington. I see the role of an instructional designer as one that removes barriers to learning online content. Those barriers might be ones of accessibility, clarity, motivation, or something else that we discover as the online education continues to be refined. My job is to collaborate with instructors to make their content shine.
